Parcel Living has been featured in the Calgary Herald.
In a piece published May 1, 2026, journalist Andrea Cox explored how our Signature Series is set to change the way builders, developers, and homeowners interact with the design and build process in Alberta.
The feature captures the core idea behind Parcel Living — that building a home should feel exciting, not exhausting. As Kelsey Andison, co-founder of Andison Residential Design, put it:
“Building a home should feel exciting, not exhausting. We’ve carefully considered the flow, the natural light, the materials and how people truly live in these spaces.”
For Alykhan Velji, Creative Director at Alykhan Velji Designs, the concept addresses a problem he’s seen repeatedly throughout his career:
“Builders often find themselves managing design decisions mid-build, which impacts timelines, margins and the overall cohesiveness of the project. Parcel resolves the design before construction starts — everything is completed. That clarity improves procurement, reduces revisions and ultimately supports a stronger final product.”
The article also dives into the four homes in the Signature Series — Rise, Haven, Flow, and Hearth — and what makes each one distinct, from Flow’s private rooftop terrace and sculptural spiral stair to Haven’s inward-focused architecture centred around a private courtyard.
